We live lives centered on ourselves. We say we love God, but that love usually lasts until it requires us to put other people first. Because of our selfishness we fail to love others sacrificially and by consequence, we fail to love God in the way that He wants us to do it, by loving others. When we understand how Jesus gave himself for us, we can begin to understand how to give ourselves to others and loving people sacrificially.
